a: Which an Ex Libris is and is to be, today hardly more needs to be said in Germany. Our art researchers and collecting tank have us again familiarly made with the beautiful old custom to mark the books, which one possesses and loves, by own, more or less artistic marks. Who possessed books, she maintained it in the Middle Ages, as also today is to a large extent still done, via handwritten entry as its property to note.
