In the sheet reproduced here the Norns by the painter and graphic artist William Thomas Horton, 1864 - 1919, shows the 3 Norns and a castle. Horton was interested in spiritualism and was inspired by the works of William Blake. His works were influenced by Beardsley, for whose SAVOY he worked. Like Beardsley, he also leaned towards Catholicism.
